According to research just released by digital media measurement firm Big Champagne, 47 percent of all illegal downloading activity comes from the United States.

The firm also reported that “Heroes” was the most popular illegal download this year, with about 55 million people downloading the show. Digital pirates love shows about good versus evil, apparently.
