An adaptation of George Devereux’s non-fiction book “Reality and Dream: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian”. The film follows a Native American soldier using the alias Jimmy Picard (Del Toro) who, following World War II, is troubled by psychosomatic illness. Working with Devereux (Amalric), the two form a bond of friendship amidst their professional, medical relationship.

The film is something of a found footage feature from director Sebastián Cordero described as employing a unique blend of documentary, alternative history and science fiction into a thriller following a contemporary mission to Jupiter’s moon Europa, to investigate the possible existence of alien life within our solar system. Developed in close collaboration with NASA, JPL, SpaceX and other leaders in the scientific community, the film imagines the next step in manned space exploration and is based on recent scientific discoveries and theories.

The film follows a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi), who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger, a massive robot designed to fight legions of monstrous creatures known as Kaiju, which started rising from the sea years ago. They stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse. The film also stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Day and Clifton Collins Jr. Warner Bros will release Pacific Rim in theaters in 3D on July 12th.

Universal has premiered a brand new Riddick trailer along with the film’s first poster. New chapter in the Riddick franchise, which began with Pitch Black in 2000 and 2004′s Chronicles of Riddick. Once again David Twohy is a director with Vin Diesel in the title role.
