Cave of Forgotten Dreams is directed by Werner Herzog, of many great docs previously like Lessons of Darkness, My Best Friend, Little Dieter Needs to Fly, Grizzly Man, Encounters at the End of the World. It premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival.

Oscar winners Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts reunite for a new comedy Larry Crowne. directed by Tom Hanks, whose only other feature directing gig was That Thing You Do! in 1996. The screenplay was co-written by Tom Hanks and fellow actress/filmmaker Nia Vardalos. Hanks also produced with Gary Goetzman. Universal Pictures is bringing Hanks’ Larry Crowne to theaters everywhere starting July 1st this summer

Paramount has unveiled trailer for J.J. Abrams’ mysterious sci-fi movie Super 8. Starring Zach Mills, Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, Noah Emmerich, Ron Eldard and Amanda Michalka. Produced by Steven Spielberg at Amblin, Relativity and Bad Robot. According to early reports, this was inspired by Spielberg’s sci-fi films of the 70′s and 80′s. Paramount will be bringing Super 8 to theaters everywhere, not in 3D, starting on June 10th this summer.

From Terrence Malick, the acclaimed director of such classic films as Badlands, Days of Heaven and The Thin Red Line, The Tree of Life is the impressionistic story of a Midwestern family in the 50′s. It follows the life journey of eldest son Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years (Penn) as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father. Jack, as an adult, finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking out answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith. Starring Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain. Fox Searchlight is bringing The Tree of Life to theaters on May 27th.

trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which is set to hit theaters on May 20, 2011 and brings back Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in a brand new adventure under the direction of Rob Marshall (Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha).

While Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley won’t be returning for this fourth Pirates feature, Geoffrey Rush is back as well as Keith Richards as Jack’s father, Captain Teague. The rest of the cast includes Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, Stephen Graham, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Sam Claflin, Richard Griffiths and even Judi Dench.

This time around Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past (Cruz) whom he’s unsure if she’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.
